I'm Katt — and I've built my career around dogs that other trainers write off. Before launching KDT, I founded and ran All Around Hound, one of the largest dog service companies in the Greater Edmonton Area. I sold it in 2020, and while it's since closed, the thousands of dogs and families we helped along the way are a legacy I'm proud of.
Now based in Bonnyville, Alberta, I bring 16+ years of hands-on experience to every session. I work with dogs that have been through the revolving door of trainers and programs — reactive dogs, aggressive dogs, dogs their owners have been told are "too far gone." They're not. They just need the right approach.
My clients are dog owners who are exhausted, embarrassed, or genuinely worried about their dog's future. I take that seriously. Every session is built around your dog, your life, and what actually needs to change — not a one-size-fits-all program.

Why balanced training works
A dog that only knows how to earn rewards doesn't know what "no" means.
Purely positive training has its place — and I use it. But it's not the whole picture. Dogs live in a world with real consequences, and a training approach that ignores that sets dogs up to fail the moment the treats run out.
Balanced training means using the full range of communication available to us — reward, pressure, release, and correction — in proportion to what the dog needs. It's not harsh. It's clear. And clarity is what dogs thrive on.
I've seen dogs transform in a single session when they finally understand what's being asked of them. That's not magic — that's good communication.
